From Matiatia:
By car: take the main road out through Oneroa, following signs for Onetangi.
After Surfdale shops, cafes, and Miami Dairy, ignore the first red cottage that you see very soon after the dairy.
After 300m, Patangatanga cottage is a red cottage with a garage on the right.
If arriving by bus: take either Onetangi bus, ask to be let off at Mitchell Road.
On alighting, Patangatanga Cottage is across the road and ahead a very short distance.

Or from Kennedy Point:
By car: follow the main road until you reach the roundabout (approx 1.7km)
At the roundabout, turn left, and drive along the road towards Surfdale and Oneroa.
Count the turnings off to the right, but do not take any of them.
Just before the third turning to the right, slow down, and indicate that you are turning left.
The cottage is soon after a bend in the road to the left, -you will see a red cottage and garage.
If a car is following and too close behind for you to turn off the road, you can always turn around in the keyhole road on the left, a few houses later, and come back to approach from the straighter stretch of road.
